Audi has just unveiled its latest hybrid diesel creation at the Paris Motor Show. The Sporty Elegant Audi E-tron Spyder Hybrid Using plug-in hybrid technology, the concept showcases one of Audi’s first diesel hybrid drivetrain attempts. The bodywork utilises Audi Space Frame (ASF) technology, meaning the car is made using a combination of materials. The Sporty Elegant Audi E-tron Spyder Hybrid features what is without a doubt the most advanced and simultaneously the most consistent evolution of the current Audi design language, while also providing initial hints at the design language of future Audi sports cars. It reinterprets the most important design elements that already characterized the previous e-tron concept vehicles. The sharply tapered front end lends the Sporty Elegant Audi E-tron Spyder Hybrid show car a distinctly wedge-like basic shape. As with the R8 and the e-tron sports car concept cars, the trademark four rings are located above the single-frame. Carbon elements borrow from motor sports to set special accents here as well. The contrast of materials is reminiscent of a race car.
One thing that I wish they have included in the configurator are performance options. Those will certainly add a lot of interest to the car.
