New Sporty Porsche Cayman R Coupe

Porsche has unveiled at the 2010 Los Angeles auto show the new Sporty Porsche Cayman R Coupe. The Sporty Porsche Cayman R Coupe is powered by a supped up 3.4-litre six-cylinder engine developing 330 hp (243 kW). The Sporty Porsche Cayman R Coupe has a DIN unladen weight of just 1,295 kilograms (2855 lb). The engine of the Sporty Porsche Cayman R may be coupled with either a standard manual gearbox or the trick PDK transmission. The company says its engineers have worked hard to improve the power-to-weight ratio in the case of the Sporty Porsche Cayman R Coupe. If you equip your Sporty Porsche Cayman R Coupe with the Sport Chrono package, the same sprint times are reduced to 4.7 seconds. the top speed of the Sporty Porsche Cayman R Coupe is rated at 282 km/h (175 mph) with the manual and at 280 km/h (174 mph) with the PDK. The Sporty Porsche Cayman R Coupe features a 20 mm lowered ride height, a distinctive fixed rear spoiler, new alloy wheels, black-framed headlights and black exterior mirrors. The black-framed headlights, black exterior mirrors and the “PORSCHE” lettering on the side – in contrasting black or silver, depending on the body color – take design cues from classic Porsche racing cars. The Cayman R is equipped as standard with 19-inch Boxster Spyder wheels with a high-quality silver painted finish. The new Sporty Porsche Cayman R Coupe will go on sale from February 2011.
