There is a high demand for compact cars within India and so many automotive companies have launched such cars. Mitsubishi will also be launching a small car called Mitsubishi Colt in the Indian market. The car is a five seater and is expected to be launched around January 2011. This will be the first small car launched by the company in India.
Mitsubishi Colt Specification
The Mitsubishi Colt will come with a 1500 cc, 4-cylinder engine in both petrol as well as diesel variants. This engine will be able to deliver power of 70 bhp and the peak torque will be 210 Nm at 1800 rpm. The length of the car will be around 3900 mm while its width will be 1680mm and its height will be 1550 mm.
The engine as per the Mitsubishi Colt review will be mated with a 5-speed manual transmission feature. The suspension system of the car will be McPherson strut with torsion bar and this will make long drives extremely pleasurable. The car has front disk and rear drum brake system.
Mitsubishi Colt Mileage
The car is expected to deliver mileage of around 15 km/litre on an average while the mileage on the highway is expected to be around 19 km/litre.
Mitsubishi Colt Interiors
The interiors of the car are quite comfortable and have CD/DVD and MP3 player along with Bluetooth and usb support. The car has air conditioner with climate control feature and remote central locking. The car has remote fuel filler and the driver’s seat can be manually adjusted.
Mitsubishi Colt Safety features
The safety features in the car include front air bags and emergency brake system. The other safety features include parking sensors; fog lamp and anti lock brake system. The car also has traction control system.
Mitsubishi Colt Price and design variations
The price of the car is expected to be around Rs 12 lakhs. The car will be available in two design variations and these include Mitsubishi Colt 1.1 and Mitsubishi Colt 1.5

The colors in which the car will be available are not known as yet.
