Chevrolet India is gearing up to launch a refreshed version of its popular executive sedan, the Chevrolet Cruze. The new Chevrolet Cruze has an uprated engine, some minor styling tweaks and improvements to its NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) levels.

On the styling front, the new Cruze gets a revised front bumper, front grille, fog lamps and a new chin. It's still instantly recognisable though. The front two-part grille now has a deeper, more pronounced lower section, with horizontal slats replacing the earlier honeycomb mesh. The front fog lamps have been integrated into triangular nacelles, which together with more pronounced chin give the new Cruze a much more aggressive face.
At the rear, the tail lights will do away with the round elements within the lenses, replaced by more angular designs. New look aloy wheels complete the styling changes with a flourish.

GM has also upgraded the Cruze's engine, and power now jumps from 150 PS to a lofty 166 PS. Despite the increase in power, the company has worked hard to make the Cruze more drivable. While no doubt the Cruze has always enjoyed stonking performance, the huge turbo lag meant that accessing the power was tedious, especially in traffic, with a huge surge when the turbo spools up. Chevrolet assures us that the new car is much more drivable, and that its engineers have worked hard to address this criticism. Special attention has been paid to the Cruze's NVH characteristics, with new sound deadening material being used for the bulkhead and under the floor.

New engine produces more power and is more drivable as well.

Chevrolet will launch the new Cruze in the Indian market sometime in end June or early July. Prices will be revised slightly upward, to the tune of Rs 60,000 or so. Three variants will be available, which include the Cruze LT manual, Cruze LTZ manual, and the Cruze LTZ AT, with a six-speed automatic transmission. The Cruze currently enjoys a strong position in the Executive Sedan segment, considering it is the only diesel automatic at the price (the Laura AT is much more expensive) and Chevrolet India wants to milk this to the maximum.

Chevrolet Volt Review

Chevrolet Volt is the first electric chargeable car that will be launched in India by General Motors. The car will be available in the Indian market at the end of 2010. The car was initially displayed at the 100^thbirthday celebration of company in September 2008.

This car is powered by lithium ion batteries and these can be recharged when they are plugged into mains or recharging can also be done on the go through 1.4L petrol engine. The electric motor can deliver power of 150 bhp along with peak torque of 37.78 kgm. The lithium battery pack works through heating and cooling.

Chevrolet Volt review indicates that cooling plays an important role as excess heat can result in killing of lithium ion cells. The company promises that the battery pack can be charged completely for as many as 6000 charges. With frequent charging the capacity of the pack may reduce to around 70 to 80 percent of its initially storage capacity.

It is rather easy to drive the Chevrolet Volt and by pressing a start button the dashboard lights up and the car comes to life. The car has very less engine noise. Chevrolet Camaro Review

General Motors which is one of the leading automobile manufacturers in the world will be launching its luxurious sports car named Chevrolet Camaro in the Indian Market. This car will be launched in India around December 2010 and will be exclusively made available for its rich clientele in India. The car has already been well received the world over and now it remains to be seen if its Indian launch is just as successful.

Chevrolet Camaro Specification

The Chevrolet Camaro review indicates that the car can come with two engine options. These include a 3.6L V6 petrol engine and a 6.2L V8 engine. Both the engines come with 6-speed gearbox. The 3.6L engine can deliver power of 304 bhp at 6400 rpm and the peak torque is 273 bhp at 5200 rpm.

Chevrolet Cruze Review

The Cruze is a sedan launched by Chevrolet in the D segment and is directly competing with the likes of Honda Accord, Volkswagen Jetta, Skoda Laura, Toyota Corolla Altis and others. The Chevrolet Cruze is an extremely handsome car with a beautifully sculpted bumper, wide grill and large headlights.
