With its vast open-world, Seacrest Country is the perfect place to get your fix for high-speed racing (or chasing) action. There are several diverse locales throughout – coast, desert, forest, and mountain – with unique features to provide each side of the law with certain benefits and challenges.

One strong suggestion we’d make is to drive around the county a few times on your own before taking part in any pursuits. Get familiar with the beautiful scenery and its many hidden shortcuts.

Need for Speed World features one of the largest world ever seen in a Need for Speed game. We've taken the two cities from NFS Most Wanted (Rockport) and NFS Carbon (Palmont) and combined them into one huge world. Right now there are tons of circuit, sprint and 'meetingplace' events to participate / race in and we'll be adding more areas, cities and events to the World for years to come!

Need For Speed Nitro

Released in November 2009, Need for Speed NITRO was available only on Nintendo-based rigs -- the Wii and DS. An arcade-style racer that takes full advantage of the platform's unique controls to deliver a non-stop-fun experience.
In NITRO, customization is key. You have the ability to not only trick out your ride, but also design your own "tag", and as when you're the leader in a race, that tag is plastered all over town to let everyone know who's the best.
The game's namesake, the nitro boost, is another major factor in your racing career. Drift around corners, pass opponents, and perform other crazy driving maneuvers to gain boost. Then, once you hit a clear stretch of road, floor it.

Need For Speed Shift

Shift was a real return to simulation racing for the Need for Speed series. Going back to a track-based format last seen in ProStreet, it also re-introduced a full damage model to the game, making smart driving an important part of winning races.
New to SHIFT was the Driver Profile, which keeps track of your every race and assigns points for aggressive or precision driving. Both styles are rewarded equally, with players getting points for moves such as trading paint or mastering corners.
The cockpit camera view returned in as well, giving drivers a first-person experience of the Dynamic Crash Effect system which makes players feel disoriented in crashes, with the screen going blurry before composure is regained.

Need For Speed Undercover

The Need for Speed series got another dose of Hollywood magic with the release of Undercover. Actress Magiee plays a federal agent and is your character's only contact to the outside world as you go undercover to foil an international crime syndicate in Tri-City. Singer and actress Christina makes an appearance as Carmen, a friend you encounter throughout your travels.Undercover returned to the "sandbox" style seen in Carbon, but increased the size of the world map to more than 100 miles of drivable blacktop spread across three connected cities.
New to online mode was a "Cops and Robbers" game, with one team trying to grab cash spawned on the map and the other team driving to stop them. The game also introduced a new "Heroic Driving Engine", a unique technology that generated incredible high-performance moves, including 180-degree turns at high speeds.

With nearly 110 miles of roadway, Tri-City was by far the largest Need for Speed map built to date, separated into four boroughs -- Palm Harbor, Port Crescent, Gold Coast Mountains, and Sunset Hills -- all connected by extensive highways.
