Hyundai Avante is a midsized sedan that was launched to replace the Hyundai Elantra. The car was initially launched at the Delhi Auto Expo 2008. The car will be available in India from July 2010. The car is launched to directly compete with brands like Skoda Octavia, Chevrolet Optra, Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic.

The Hyundai Avante review indicates that the car comes with 2L DOHC petrol engine. The other engine variation in the car includes 1.6L CRDi diesel engine. This engine delivers power of 115 bhp at 6000 rpm along with peak torque of 156 Nm at 4200 rpm. The engine delivers enthusiastic response and it is mated with 4-speed automatic transmission.
The length of the car is 4505 mm and its width is 1775 mm while its height is 1490 mm. The suspension system of the car includes McPherson Strut type along with stabiliser bar. The turning circle of the car is 5.67 metres. The car has tilt steering along with front disk and rear drum brake system. The ground clearance of the car is 185 mm and its kerb weight is 1267kgs. The fuel tank capacity of the car is 65 litres.

The car is expected to deliver mileage of 11 km/litre in the city while the mileage on the highway is expected to be 14 km/litre.

The design of the car is a face lifted version of Elantra. The interiors of the car are extremely luxurious and the cabin of the car is quite roomy. The dashboard of the car is sleek and the instruments have blue black lighting. The car has some luxury features like power windows, remote boot, remote central locking, rear defogger, electric seat adjustment, CD player and controls on the steering.
Hyundai Avante Safety features
The car has several safety features and these include two airbags, antilock brake system and electronic brake force distribution. The other safety features in the car include parking sensors, front side airbags and curtain side airbags.

The price of the car is around Rs 10.50 lakhs to Rs 11.50 lakhs. The car is available in two design variations and these include Hyundai Avante and Hyundai Avante Diesel.

The car is available in 10 different colors and these include apple red pearl, carbon gray mist metallic, black noir pearl, laguna sand metallic, ebony black pearl, natural khaki pearl, liquid silver metallic, quicksilver metallic, regatta blue pearl and Nordic white.
